One of my favorite fruits is Konatsu. It means "small summer", which I think is a perfect name for such a pretty yellow fruit that is only available in early summer (May/June).

The easiest way I can describe its flavor is "subtle grapefruit". It is not as bitter or sour, and we eat the white fluffy part as well. Konatsu is typically peeled like an apple, as you can see in the photo, keeping the white layer.

I wanted to shoot Konatsu, before its season is over.
